Twilight

Well, Mandy I finally did it. After three years of you telling me that I would love this book and three years of me denying that I would, I read Twilight. So this is my public acknowledgement of the fact that YOU WERE TOTALLY RIGHT. I loved this book. I started it on Friday night, I got lucky and our electricity went out around 5:30 or 6 and stayed off until a little after 9. This gave me the perfect excuse to sit on the couch and read. I started the book and wasn't able to put it down. The story line was so good. How could a person stop reading this. I finally had to put it down and get the kids to bed around 10:30. My plans for the 4th included a day full of laundry, which is also the perfect job to be doing while obsessively reading a book. My sister called at 5:15 and I had no idea that the day had passed so quickly. I only had about 20 pages to go and I just couldn't stop reading. I finally finished the book and it took every ounce of my self control not to start the second book. I still have not allowed myself to open the cover. As soon as I finish all my cleaning then I can open the cover and start reading. I am glad that we have this wonderful long weekend to be able to get caught up on household chores and to spend a bit of time enjoying something just for myself. So once again, thank you Mandy for not giving up on me over the years and for showing me that it is ok to read books that may seem to be out of my comfort zone. I loved this book, just as you said I would. I can't wait to see the movie just so we can all sit around and gripe about how they butchered the wonderful book that is Twilight.
